Above: Her liberal sister is all too willing to call in her offence to Lord Al because she's decided owning a Prius isn't really what she wants any more. I suppose the question is... why doesn't she want it any more? I suppose it could be simply because she needs more room or it could be her way of telling liberals and the like to stick it. Ultimately, the reason she wants to own an SUV or any other car is not as important as the fact that we live in a free country where we CAN do it.

Ah... and here is her reasoning... it's safer!
When we put everything around us as having a higher value than the life of a human being, we are not only being stupid and ignorant, we are saying to our children that they don't mean as much to us as we tell them they do when we put them to bed at night.
Oh I know that others will claim "we're saving future generations by not using autos that emit this or that". We already have tons of regulations on the way autos are made and we, the United States of America, still do a better service to the world than other countries. It is not Al's place or the government's place to tell me what I must to drive.
This cartoon just reiterates the fact that it's our choice what we do and no matter what threats are made to "tell on us", it doesn't matter because we are free!!

Have you seen one of those Smart cars, sort look like a golf car, with with a windshield. There must be only a foot between both the rear and front of the car.
I have not seen it... but it sounds wonderful!! Okay... entirely NOT wonderful. I need a little more room than that. :o)
I want to have incandescent light bulbs shipped to my house...
Using a diesel semi truck...
Towing a full 53 foot trailer....
One at a time!
From tobacco and trans fat bans, to global warming hysteria amidst a period of global cooling, the SOLE reason for the Left's pseudo-well intentioned legislation is CONTROL, they are "control freaks" bent on attempting to micro-manage other people's lives.
I agree JMK... it is all about control and we, as humans (or maybe more specifically as free Americans) we hate being controlled.
Personally, I support Mister Gore and the Kyoto Honda Accord people in every way - in fact, all year long I save up old tires I find by the roadside and then use them to make a giant pyramid, which i then soak with oil and light up as a celebratory flame- pyre to mark each Earth Day... and I dance naked around the bonfire and make up songs to affirm our harmonic embrace of the eco-cosmos!
You know, j3, that may actually be a violation of the unspoken but widely known "TMI Rule". :o)
I wonder if "they" just don't get it... the more they push and demand and pry and lash out... the more I want nothing more than to do the opposite of what they spout off.
I'm just waiting for the day when they all of a sudden "get it" and start telling us we HAVE to own guns and drive huge SUVs and leave our water running.
Nah... they're just not that smart.
I always said we should have just had G W Bush support The Honda Accords, and by default the loony left would have said he was lying and cheaing and that we shouldn't be in the treaty etc...
I guess in the end it comes down to the notion that I'll start acting as if there is a crisis when Fat Al starts acting that way
